In sadness, the web masters of this website want
the online friends of Host John to know that yesterday, September 6, 2005,
Host John peacefully passed from this world with God’s eternal love.
Host John had been the Host of Elders Without Walls for the past 5
years and enjoyed all posters on this message board. He wanted to thank
each person for your kindness to others in this online community and to
him. He greatly admired all your lives – so many backgrounds, yet so
many common strengths. Host John was 83 years old. For those in his
generation, you knew the Great Depression and World War II and shared
common bonds of hardship and courage. Host John will miss you all,
